Hello Halloween!

(costumes of Halloweens past)

If there’s one thing I love more than dressing up in cute lingerie, it’s dressing up for Halloween each year (sometimes in cute lingerie)! It’s the one thing that can get me out of those end-of-the-summer blues and into the upcoming holiday season, simultaneously taking over my thoughts and my wardrobe to the point of obsession!

(“Josie and the Pussycats” using the Eva Cami & Short set and Naughty Kitten Mask)

While building my own DIY costume is what fuels me the most, I also can’t help but get revved up by all the décor, candy & macabre. Give me skulls! Give me blood! Give me a Snickers bar! This is the one time of the year when I have a hard time containing myself and end up letting my freak flag fly! Just don’t leave me alone in the Halloween store – I’ll wind up with tons of useless props and a negative bank account balance (seriously – it happens every time).

(“Queen of Hearts” using the Fleur Bra, Belle of the Ball Petticoat and Love Smack Crop)

So this year I’m taking a cue from the WonderLust Lingerie closet and have been putting together a few looks to take me from boudoir to the boo-doir! (see what I did there?) I had a blast playing around with these outfits, using our sassy skivvies and spooky sleepwear to create some crazy costumes. Then I took it a step further with some makeup and accessories to create a look that I’ll be ready to trick-or-treat in this year.

(“Insides Out” using the Girl Power Brief)

Styling these looks with minimal supplies and DIY’ing the crap out of them makes the challenge all that more exciting and triumphant in the end. Why buy a cheaply made costume when you can create something unique all on your own? If you’re struggling to come up with a costume idea this October 31st try looking in your own closet for a little creative inspiration. Or just head over and shop ours! Happy Halloween!

XOXO,

Kristina
